One Hundred Years of Solitude, Again and Again

OneHundredYears

One Hundred Years of Solitude is seen by many readers as a fantastic piece of fiction narrating wonderful stories in remote exotic settings. Some others have never seen it in that way. They rather see it as a strong piece of philosophical rehearsal. Those generations of people lingering and wandering and engaging in majestic ventures then watching their lives smoldering as if they were nothing. Meaningless. Insignificant. Dinky.

It takes you in a magic journey of absurdity, chaos and nonsense. History repeats itself. Characters almost incarnate themselves. Gabriel Garcia Marquez illustrates life as it really is; a series of events prancing from absurdity to unreasonable coherence.
